Once we have all of the necessary forms and documentation, the information will be reviewed by our staff. If your doctor feels that you will be a good candidate and a safe surgical risk, our office will send a letter of medical necessity/pre-determination to your insurance company for approval. When the approval request is sent to the insurance company an update letter will be mailed to you the same day.
You will be contacted by our office when the reply from the insurance company is received. If you are denied by your insurance company, or if you do not have insurance coverage, you will be considered a “Cash Pay” patient. Cash pay patients are required to pay the surgeon’s fee, hospital fee, and anesthesiologist’s fee 14 days prior to the date of surgery. We do have special pricing for cash pay patients, and our office does have financing options available. Additional pricing and financing information will be provided at the seminar.
For our patients who do not have insurance or those whose insurance does not cover bariatric surgery, we have financing available through an independent finance company. Below you will find a link to their website as well as the phone number. Approval is based on your credit report/score. Please note that our office is not involved in the approval process in any way, and we do not have access to the information you provide the finance company.
